Chicken Francaise – Let’s do American today!
Chicken Française is chicken cutlet wrapped in a fresh lemon sauce. It often tastes better when eaten alone.
Ingredients :-
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 beaten egg
- juice of 1/2 lemon
- 6 boneless chicken breasts, halved
- 1 pinch garlic powder
- 1 pinch paprika
- 2 tbsp butter
- juice of 1 lemon
- 1 can chicken broth
- 6 sliced lemons
- 2 tbsp fresh parsley
Method :-
- In a bowl, mix egg and juice of 1/2 lemon. In another bowl combine the flour, paprika and garlic powder. Dip chicken breasts in egg mixture and then in flour mixture.
- Heat butter in a frying pan over medium heat. Add chicken breasts and cook both sides until golden.
- In a separate bowl, mix broth and juice of 1 lemon, and pour the mixture over chicken in the pan. Let it simmer over medium flame for 10 minutes.
- Place on a serving plate and garnish with parsley and fresh lemon slices before serving your Chicken Francaise.
