Chicken Cordon Bleu Casserole Is Loved In Every Household

Chicken Cordon Bleu Casserole combines the aromatic flavors of cheese, mustard, onion, butter, breadcrumbs in a casserole made for your family with a lot of love.

Ingredients :-

  • 2 cups chopped broccoli florets
  • 4 cups whole-wheat fusilli
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • ½ cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 cup shredded Swiss cheese
  • 2 cups low-fat milk
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard
  • 3 tbsp all-purpose flour
  • ¼ tsp ground pepper
  • ½ tsp salt
  • 1 small onion, chopped
  • 1 pound boneless chicken breast, cut into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs

 

Method :-

  • Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Boil water in a saucepan. Cook broccoli in the boiling water until just tender and bright green for about 3 minutes. Leave it aside on a bowl. Add pasta to the boiling water and cook according to package directions. Drain and rinse with cold water. Transfer to the bowl with the broccoli.
  • Heat butter in a frying pan over medium heat. Add chicken, onion, salt and pepper. Cook until the onion has softened and the chicken is tender. Add flour and mustard and stir until coated. Add milk and bring it to a boil. Cook for about 4 minutes. Transfer to the bowl with the broccoli and pasta. Stir in cheese and parsley. Transfer the mixture to a 9-by-13-inch baking dish, spreading evenly. Mix breadcrumbs and and oil in a bowl. Sprinkle over the casserole.
  • Bake until the casserole is heated throughout and the breadcrumbs are beginning to brown for half an hour.
