Add your favorite vegetables and make a sumptuous Vegetable Calzone
Homemade Vegetable Calzone is nothing but a pizza stuffed with fresh vegetables, parmesan, ricotta, mozzarella cheese.
Ingredients:-
- 2 tbsp oil
- 1 medium sized chopped onion
- 1 chopped garlic clove
- 1 1/2 cups chopped bell peppers (you can use a combination of red, yellow, green)
- 1 cup chopped spring onion (just the green part)
- 1 cup ricotta
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella
- 2 tbsp grated parmesan
- Salt and pepper
- 450 gm pizza dough
Method :-
- Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Saute onions for a few minutes. Add garlic and cook for a minute on low flame. Cover and saute bell pepper and spring onion for a couple of minutes.
- Take a bowl and season ricotta, mozzarella and parmesan with salt and pepper and add the above mixture.
- Roll out dough into 8-inch rounds. Divide filling among dough circles and fold dough over to enclose filling and seal the edges. Preheat oven to 450ºF. Bake for 15 minutes until golden brown. Serve Vegetable Calzones with ketchup.
