Mongolian Chicken is your chicken in shining armour
Mongolian Chicken is a crispy Chinese-inspired chicken dish coated in an aromatic sauce which is easy to make with few ingredients.
Ingredients :-
- 500 gm sliced boneless chicken
- 1/2 cup cornstarch
- oil
- 1 tbsp chopped garlic
- 1 tsp chopped ginger
- 1 tsp sesame oil
- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- water
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup chopped spring onions (only the green)
- salt
- pepper
Method :-
- Place the sliced chicken in a resealable plastic bag and season with salt, pepper and 1/4 cup cornstarch and shake it thoroughly.
- Heat oil in a frying pan over high flame and cook both sides until golden brown.
- Drain the chicken on paper napkins.
- Add ginger and garlic to the pan and cook for a minute. Then add soy sauce, sesame oil, water and brown sugar and saute for a while.
- Mix 2 tsp cornstarch with water and add to the above mixture and cook until it thickens.
- Add the chicken slices and spring onions to the pan and toss it evenly before serving your Mongolian Chicken.
