Fettuccine with Shiitake Mushrooms & Basil

Fettuccine with Shiitake Mushrooms & Basil Is Pleasurably Yours

Fettuccine with Shiitake Mushrooms & Basil is extremely creamy and sensual combining the aromatic flavors of lemon, basil and garlic. This classic delicacy will bring an ethereal pleasure when you are eating alone or in the company of good friends and family.

Ingredients :-

  • 1 1/2 cups shiitake mushrooms, stemmed and sliced
  • 3 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp freshly grated lemon zest
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • Salt
  • ½ cup chopped fresh basil, divided
  • 1/2 cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
  • Freshly ground pepper
  • 3 cups fettuccine or spaghetti

 

Method :-

  • Bring a saucepan of mildly salted water to a boil and cook pasta according to package directions. Drain and reserve 1/2 cup pasta water.
  • Heat oil in non-stick frying pan over low flame. Add garlic and cook for about a minute. Add mushrooms and raise the flame to medium and cook until tender for about 5 minutes. Mix lemon zest, lemon juice, salt and pepper. Then remove from the heat.
  • Add the pasta, reserved pasta water, Parmesan cheese and 1/4 cup basil to the mushrooms in the pan and toss well. Garnish with the remaining basil and serve hot with garlic bread.
