Caramelized Onion & Mushroom Quiche Is Elegant and Exquisite
Caramelized Onion & Mushroom Quiche is a classic recipe with premium ingredients and aromatic flavors which can be both refined and enchanting.
Ingredients :-
- 1 (9 inch) frozen prepared pie crust
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- ⅛ tsp ground pepper
- 1 ¼ cups whole milk
- 8 ounces cremini mushrooms, sliced
- ½ large red onion, sliced
- 4 large eggs
- ½ tsp salt, divided
Method :-
- Preheat oven to 375°F. Set out pie crust to thaw for 10 to 20 minutes.
- Heat oil in a large non-stick frying pan over medium flame. Add onion and cook until tender for about 5 minutes. Add mushrooms and cook until the onions are golden brown and the mushrooms have reduced by half for about 5 minutes. Season with 1/4 tsp salt and leave aside to cool a bit. Transfer the vegetable mixture to the crust.
- Whisk eggs, milk, 1/4 tsp salt and pepper in a bowl and pour over the vegetables.
- Set the quiche on a baking sheet and bake until the center is set for about 40 minutes. Let it stand for 10 minutes before slicing. Serve immediately.
